Mari Paula (Mariana de Paula Ferreira, Brasil, 1984) transita entre la danza y la performance. Con formación en Danza, licenciatura en Artes Escénicas, especialización en Arte Híbrido y un máster en Gestión Cultural Iberoamericana, fundó su propia compañía para explorar temas contemporáneos arraigados en su experiencia vital y compartir aspectos de la vida que desafían respuestas definitivas. Sus proyectos rompen las fronteras del lenguaje escénico, abordando temas como migración, antropofagia cultural, mujer, amor y muerte, y exploran la relación entre el cuerpo y el territorio, tanto desde lo artístico como desde lo social. Como intérprete, destacan su paso por el Balé Teatro Guaíra y por el Colectivo Casa Selvática. Como creadora, ha sido galardonada con el Premio Nacional de Danza Funarte Klauss Vianna por su primera obra, y sus piezas han sido representadas en festivales de África, Sudamérica, Norteamérica y Europa. También es cofundadora de Las Vivas Plataforma Iberoamericana de Danza y desde 2019 se dedica a nivel asociativo a la mejora del sector de la danza en España e Iberoamérica.
Mari Paula (Mariana de Paula Ferreira, Brasil, 1984) moves between dance and performance, with a education in Dance, degree in Performing Arts, specialization in Hybrid Art and Master’s degree in Ibero-American Cultural Management. She founded her own company to explore contemporary themes rooted in her life experience and to share aspects of life that defy definitive answers. Her projects break the boundaries of stage language, addressing topics as migration, cultural anthropophagy, women, love and death, and explore the relationship between body and territory, from an artistic and social perspective. A performer at the Balé Teatro Guaíra and the Colectivo Casa Selvática. Awarded the Funarte Klauss Vianna National Dance Award for her first own creation, her pieces have been performed in Africa, South America, North America and Europe. She is co-founder of Las Vivas Ibero-American Dance Platform and since 2019 works as an association to improve the dance sector in Spain and Latin America.
